I'm writing this review as the daughter of an elderly lady brought into A&E after a fall Although busy they took great care with my mum and explained everything to me even calling me at home when I wasn't there. She was then transferred to Ward 53 where the staff couldn't have been more caring or helpful. She has been transferred to Ward 18 and I can't thank them enough both for the care they are taking of my mother but also the time they have taken to ease my anxiety. The doctors, nurses and physiotherapist are all exceptional and I would like them to know how much I appreciate their help and advice. Overall we could not have asked for a better service Thank you

Have just spent a week in Ward 64. The staff were wonderful. Very caring and attentive, nothing was too much trouble from people giving out meals, nurses, doctors etc. A special mention goes to the scanning dept where I had an MRI. They couldn't have been more pleasant or caring, lovely group of people. I'm back in next week for a procedure and feel fine about it because of my experience this time. They do 12 hr shifts and have infinite patience with people.

My mum was admitted to GRI after a fall 10/06/24 where she attended casualty. She was treated with kindness, dignity, respect by staff who were very busy but very kind and friendly. Her consultant was knowledgeable and gentle and kept her up to date with all that was happening and made sure she understood what was happening and was was planned She was then transferred to ward 62 where the staff could not have done enough for her and nothing was too much bother despite the staff being extremely busy. They were professional, kind and considerate each played their part in her care. Especially Ethan the student nurse She received her shoulder replacement operation on 12/6/24 and the staff involved were nothing short of incredible. GRI u should be extremely proud of your staff they are a credit to you and the NHS. Thank you all so much.

I would like to thank the staff in unit 44 for giving me the Christmas miracle of saving my mums life! The Dr's and nurses went above and beyond to do what they could for both my mum and my family. They kept us fully informed on every little thing and answered the million questions I threw at them with respect, kindness and compassion. They gave us a comfortable and private space for the family to wait (I slept there at least 3 of the nights) and must have made me about 100 cups of tea. Thank you ❤️

This review is really from my Mum, who is 88 & received amazing care at the Acute Assessment Unit, at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. From the reception area, to the team in the Unit, we were treated with the utmost care. I can’t Thank the people involved in my Mums ongoing care, enough. Some names, Nurse Robert, Nurse Rachel, and a very dedicated Doctor, Adam. Other staff took my Mums bloods and blood pressure, all done quickly and professionally, I am sorry I don’t have their names. The NHS should be proud of this amazing facility.

Having been in Cardiology ward at Glasgow Royal infirmary 3 times, as emergency & eventually a Pacemaker implant, I was treated professionally & caringly.(Dr Rae’s Dept). However, since then I have had problems with my pacemaker & referred a few times to Cardio/Pacemaker Physiologists. The attitude & almost dismissal of being a patient is unbelievable. Questions I asked were dismissed, leaving me feeling the senior Physiologists were not interested(almost Godlike attitude) & not worthy of their interest. I can’t believe this attitude in todays Health Service, caring profession. Compare this to the treatment my husband received from Rheumatology, Glasgow Royal, from receptionist, nurses & Consultant, totally professional & caring. Also just had eye operation at Glasgow Gartnavel Hospital. Again from receptionists to Consultants, totally professional & caring. Particularly, Consultant giving & explaining all details of operation & results. Think Cardio/Pacemaker physiologists should take lessons from these 2 departments at Glasgow Royal & Glasgow Gartnavel Ophthalmology. Have now no faith in Physiologists/Cardio Pacemaker Dept,

When i went for an antinatal check up the woman was extremely rude, as i have had another child at another hosiptal, she sneered at me and said " Are you trying to go round all the hospitals" really rude and intrusive comment coming from a useless rude member of staff. After i went into labour i came to the hospital after my water broke and i was sent home i begged them for help and i had black stuff in my water she told me to gome home and come back later, when i came back the night shift did not tell the day shift i was in i got a section and my son was born with disabilities, i hope your lack of concern and your sneering faces pays you back one day, because my son did not deserve this,

I was in the royal for the first time for major surgery. I can’t thank my surgeon Mr Nigel Jamieson for his expertise and amazing care. The nursing staff were amazing. I am a religious person and all my needs were more than catered for in such a positive and respectful way. Thank you Glasgow Royal.
